New medals for the Padró & Co. vermouths at the China Wine & Spirits Awards
Two of our Padró & Co. vermouths have once again impressed the Asian markets. This time round it is the prestigious China Wine & Spirits Awards (CWSA), based in Hong Kong, who have given their stamp of approval to both the Padró & Co. expressions we sent into the competition. Our Rojo Clásico was awarded a gold medal and our Blanco Reserva, a bronze.
The panel of judges for the competition are selected from among the industry’s experts for their experience and knowledge of the market. Their years spent in the world of wine and spirits industries means they are able to guide Chinese buyers in what is becoming an increasingly professional landscape in their country.
This is not the first time our Padró & Co. vermouths have received recognition from Asia. Last year, our Blanco Reserva and our Rojo Clásico were both awarded gold medals in the Singapore International Competition in Beverage Industry. Also in 2018, our Rojo Amargo and our Rojo Clásico received gold and silver medals respectively in the Hong Kong International Wine & Spirit Competition.
Due to the increasing approval of our vermouths by the general public in Asia, our Padró & Co. brand will be available in China from the end of September 2019.
China is the largest market in the world and the one that has grown fastest over the past few years. It is also predicted to be the largest wine and spirits market in the world by 2021. China is showing an increasing interest in Spanish products and, naturally, vermouth is among the most sought-after products.
