Padró & Co. Rojo Amargo vermouth, gourmet choice in Lifestyle magazine
Lifestyle magazine, published by Spain’s La Razón newspaper, has chosen our Padró & Co. Rojo Amargo as a new must-have vermouth. The magazine has a circulation of over 200,000, so this is a wonderful booster to our presence in Spain.
Lifestyle highlights our Rojo Amargo’s very special characteristics: its intense aromas and exquisitely bitter flavours. An initial infusion made entirely with mountain herbs indulges the palate with unique sensations kindled by their small roots and strongly-scented flowers. Following a 2-year “rest” in barrels, a second infusion is added, made from herbs whose bark and roots work their own special magic, increasing the intensity of the vermouth and giving it a beautifully bitter finish.
Lifestyle also mentions our Rojo Amargo’s “elegant packaging with colour arabesques”. This vermouth is the boldest of the whole Padró i Família range with its luminous design, visible under UV light, showing warm copper tones in the evening light which give way to fluorescent colours as the night “awakens”.
There is no doubt that this is a vermouth which attracts attention, not only for what’s inside the bottle, but also for presentation. This is probably why it is not only Lifestyle magazine that is talking about this unique and exclusive product from Padró i Família. Time Out as well as number of Spanish publications (Woman, Mi Casa) have also chosen Rojo Amargo as an ideal option for a quiet drink at home or out with friends.
We couldn’t be happier of course!

- How should I drink vermouth?
In Spain tradition dictates that vermouth is drunk before lunch – it is, after all, a tried and tested appetizer. Having said that, this doesn’t mean that vermouth is only a lunch time drink. On the contrary, vermouth can be enjoyed at any time of the day, paired with food, as an after-work pick-me-up…
